About Me

Hello, I am Nikki Zellner, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Substance Abuse Counselor and 200hr Yoga Alliance Licensed Registered Yoga Teacher trained in Integrative Yoga Therapy.

I rely heavily on the power of the therapeutic relationship to assist in addressing difficult thoughts, emotions and experiences that lead to stress. I employ a very casual approach that focuses on building trust and creating a partnership where complex issues can be explored.

I have worked with all forms of trauma, as well as depression, anxiety, and relationship stress. I also have a focus on young adults going through major life transitions (starting a family, launching, etc.) and young professionals who are working on career development and finding their place in the world. In addition to training in Integrative Yoga Therapy, I also have training in the psychology of Ayurveda. My psychotherapy training is emotionally focused and includes attachment based work, internal family systems theory and trauma therapies based in cutting edge neuroscience.

It is my belief that by combining embodied healing modalities and psychotherapy, the integrated nature of the physical body, emotions, mind and spirit can be honored, and a deeper awareness and understanding of the whole self can be fostered. This incorporation of Eastern practices and Western psychotherapy approaches create a sense wholeness within oneself.
